As of January 1, 2011, we have over 190 full time employees and in our peak season, that number swells to approximately 250. We have 3 separate facilities in Brooklyn and 1 in New Jersey which combined, have over 250,000 square feet. Our corporate offices and main production facility, which operates 24/7, are located in the Canarsie section of Brooklyn. It has 3 state-of-the-art production lines capable of producing over 200,000 jars per day.
We maintain our own in-house laboratory for quality control and all product testing, including microbiological. Our in-house graphic design department works in all computer platforms and current industry graphic design applications. In addition to producing all of our packaging, promotional and advertising graphics, it has developed, designed and maintains this website.
We have 28 sales people, plus 3 field merchandisers with regional offices in Connecticut and Maryland. In the Northeast, we sell to every major supermarket chain and are our own distributors. In other regions, we sell through brokers and distributors.
As a complement to our branded business, we private label and co-pack for many different specialty and national food firms, supermarket chains, warehouse clubs and others. Our customers range from the Fortune 100 to the entrepreneur, and all are treated with the same value and respect.
Our firm is a USDA inspected meat and poultry plant. We are Kosher, approved by the US Military for troop feeding, and inspected by all the appropriate state and federal food agencies, as well as Silika, AIB, Halal and Cook and Thurber Laboratories, where we maintain a superior rating of 97.5. We also have organic certification for some of our product lines.
